We study human cell physiology to better understand how to target G protein-coupled receptors and calcium signaling in chronic airway diseases as well as head and neck cancers. We are interested in how cells use chemosensory receptors to sense their environment and how we can repurpose drugs to target "extraoral" bitter taste receptors.
